I am thrilled to be on board and am looking forward to it already! This is a wonderful course that every single one of my pupils who has attended has LOVED.

Emma Blanco – violin coach 2014

Dear Lucy,

Thank you so much for running such a great course. Both my children loved it.The course rekindled their love for music. Its was inspirational for them. It encouraged then to search for different pieces of music to try out together. They both want to do the course again next year. Keep up the good work.

Best wishes

Hi Lucy,

It was such a privilege to see Ruth under your coaching and have taken such good progress. It was an overwhelming experience to see Ruth performing in the same concert with so many wonderful musicians. It was indeed an eye opening experience. Regards

Dear Lucy,

Michael really enjoyed the course last year. The teachers were amazing with him and he made friends with the girls you placed him with. Thank you for taking such care when placing him into groups.  I would like him to attend the course this year and I have transfered the deposit. He is progressing very quickly. Although he only took his grade 1 cello last summer, he is now very competent with grade 3 scales, arpeggios, chromatic scales , is playing grade 3 pieces and his teacher is considering putting him in for grade 4 exam this summer. Tony Woollard was wonderful with him and his group last year. He has such a wonderful rapport with children.  Kind regards,

Dr Nulu Kasasa. (Michael’s mum)

Dear Lucy

The girls had a wonderful time on the course, and playing the Bach [double] was a fantastic experience for Izzie.  The girls are very keen to come again another year and send you their very best.”

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
Thank you for another most wonderful week of cello-ing for Zoe who simply loved every minute of last week’s course! She was buzzing about it most afternoons and on Thursday night, going to bed, she said “I can’t WAIIIIIIIIT to be tomorrow for the concert”! What more could I ask for?
This is a real tribute to you for organising the week so brilliantly and of course to the team of teachers… It was great for Zoe (and I of course) to recognise the familiar faces of Tony and Oakki but it was so good of them too to remember Zoe. She connected instantly with Tony bouncing in rhythm in the class room, and many more catchy moments of the week….
We too were buzzing by the Friday and the concert was fantastic – the sort of concert that gives goose pimple to listening parents…Choosing the Karl Jenkins piece was a fabulous choice and a piece which will no doubt remain with Zoe all her life thanks to the power of music.
You have created a magical music course for children and I am ever so grateful. Please may we come back next year?”
Best Wishes, Isabelle (mum of Zoe – cellist)

To Lucy,

Thank you for everything you have done for both me & Pembroke Academy. The Chamber Players course was an amazing opportunity for me to improve my playing skills and also to socialise with other young musicians.  The venue was fantastic. I met loads of incredibly talented musicians during the course and had made friends with some of them. I was shy at first not knowing what was going to happen but as the days go, I had felt more confident and knew that I wanted to continue. The tutors there were very helpful and friendly to everyone. I was also inspired by the impressive quartet Stringfever, which the course have allowed us to see their concert. I have had the most enjoyable experience on the course and would love to share them with others.

Thank you.”

Dear Lucy

Thank you so much for organising Chamber Players. Emilia and Clem had a brilliant week, which really boosted their confidence and their chamber music skills. They both thoroughly enjoyed their coaching sessions; Emilia said how good it was to study the same music with different tutors each day, as it gave her so many fresh ideas to think about. I have noticed that her sound seems bigger suddenly; I think she is more aware of projecting her sound now. And Clem’s sight reading is so much more secure and “down to business”this week. Clem was very excited about Stringfever, and has been listening to the CD ever since. Please pass out thanks on to all the tutors, and our best wishes to you.

Thank you.”

Dear Lucy

Please pass on our thanks to all the Chamber Players who took part in the terrific performances on Saturday. Your music gave pleasure to so many people.
