Hester Chapman

Hester graduated with Distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in 2008, having completed her undergraduate studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
Since graduating, Hester has worked as a freelance cellist, performing across the UK with chamber orchestras and smaller ensembles.
Her cello teaching experience includes work at Queen’s College London, Blackheath Conservatoire and Blackheath High Junior School, and on the First String Experience scheme at the Royal Academy of Music. She is currently a member of the Strings Team at Alleyn’s Junior School.
Hester enjoys 1-to-1 and group instrumental teaching as well as chamber music coaching. She welcomes the opportunity to engage with young string players in a lively, creative and fun way, and is looking forward to her first year teaching on Chamber Players.
