Marisa Alcock

Born in Gibraltar, Marisa moved to London and attended University of London, Goldsmiths College and gained BMus. Marisa has been teaching ABRSM piano and music theory for 15 years with 100% success rate specialising in grade 5 theory and secondary school entry auditions. Marisa is also a double bass player and mother to her four children (some of whom have been pupils on past  Chamber Players courses).

Marisa prepared my daughter for her recent Grade 5 music exam. Marisa was kind, gentle and supportive towards my daughter. She encouraged my daughter when she lacked confidence, and Marisa’s enthusiasm and warmth made the lessons fun.
